The NSF 2018 workshop on underwater wireless communications and networking invites contributions in the form of ten-minute presentations on new ideas and recent results.  You are encouraged to present your work in a poster, in addition to the presentation. All participants are invited to contribute to discussions following the presentations. Contributions are sought in the following general areas:
  • Theory and concepts: Physical layer (modulation/coding/signal processing/arrays, channel modeling/prediction, receiver feedback/transmitter adaptivity)
  • Theory and concepts: Networks (channel sharing under high latency, routing protocols, application-specific system level optimization)
  • Implementation: (software-defined acoustics, integration of sensors, next generation platforms)
  • Deployments and applications: (Arctic, oil&gas/smart aqua/agriculture, testbeds)
You can participate in the workshop in one of two ways:
Presenters:
We ask you to submit a short abstract that outlines  your ideas and results, for your ten-minute presentation and/or poster. Please visit the Abstract submission page to submit. After screening, we will organize your contributions in proper topic categories.  Presenters do not need to register online.
Non-presenters:
You can also participate as a non-presenter, by taking part in the discussions. In this case, we ask you to register  at the Registration page.
